PROJECT DESCRIPTION: CAPS is a Federal requirement and HRA is primarily responsible for its development. CAPS is the primary system of HRA’s Coordinated Entry unit for its day-to-day operations, identifying and facilitating housing opportunities for the City’s most vulnerable populations experiencing homelessness. CAPS is essential for NYC’s homeless shelters, street outreach teams, supportive housing providers and many other external stakeholders as the primary tool to assess clients for potential housing eligibility.
Tasks & Duties
- Develop system design specifications, produce system documentation, and perform system design and application development activities
- Develop and prepare documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security standards
- Create, test, and maintain application components
- Design reports, audit trails, security mechanisms
- Perform general programming assistance to other ITS programmers/projects as may be needed.
- Upgrade the existing system to meet the ITS cyber security requirement
Required Skills
A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
· Hands on experience in Angular, .Net Core, MVC, VB.NET, WCF, XML, WebAPI, framework 4.5
· Hands on experience on Oracle 12C/11g (proficient in developing/debugging store procedures)
· Experience working on client-side scripts like JQuery, java scripts
· Angular and MVC projects with test driven development.
· Object-Oriented design and development experience
· Creating web services using JSON, SOAP
· Writing application software, data analysis, data access
· Data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation
· Technical and user documentation, software conversions
· Lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions
Compensation: $60.00 per hour
